Colored Wire
Used for Wire Ball Earrings, Wrapped Rings (non-precious metals), Bloom Earrings, Wire Frame Art Pieces, and other items with bright colors.
Our preferred and most common material source for most colors is from ParaWire, occasionally Zebra Wire.
- "exclusive coloring process produces the brightest colors with the most resilient finish"
- metallic colors are 99% pure copper wire with their exclusive non-tarnish coating
- "Silver-plated colors are 99% pure smooth copper wire which are then plated with 99% pure fine silver and then coated with ParaWire’s exclusive non-tarnish enamel color coating"
For special color and size selections, we occasionally source wire that is solid pure aluminum, covered with anodized aluminum on the surface, rust and tarnish-resistant, keeps the color for a long time.
For all above materials, in our experience, any exposure to sweat, water, sun, etc. does not significantly affect the wire. Heavy and repeated impact, scuffing on cement and other rough surfaces, may have an effect on the material, as there is a THIN layer of that "non-tarnish enamel color coating" on the outside.
